Bingo

How Bingo works

The six things between
strangers and people.

Bingo's features compose into a single shape: be visible to nearby people on terms you set, exchange messages only after mutual agreement, and turn interests into a real-world card you can fill in by meeting people.
  1. Step 01

Sign up as a UCI student

Create your account, pick a username (3–20 characters, alphanumeric and underscores). Add at least one profile photo — required, moderated.

  2. Step 02

    Add your InterestTags

Tags live inside system-defined InterestCategories. Mark each tag public (everyone you match with can see it) or private (only fellow holders can). You can hold up to 30.

  3. Step 03

    Set your DiscoveryRadius and HomeZone

Choose how far you want to be seen (50m to 5000m). Optionally draw a HomeZone — a circle up to 500m wide where you appear offline.

  4. Step 04

    See nearby Matches

Someone is a Match when you're both inside each other's DiscoveryRadius and share at least one InterestTag. Symmetric, always. Updates every ~30 seconds.

  5. Step 05

    Send a MessageRequest

Tap their profile, send a MessageRequest with an opening note. If they accept, a MessageChannel opens. Either party can block, anytime, from every conversation view.

  6. Step 06

    Play your BingoCard

Opt into Bingo and you get a 5×5 card of interests you don't have yet. Meet someone who does, capture a BingoMemory, get a one-tap confirmation. Complete the card in 30 days.

That's the loop.

Discover, request, message, meet, mark a BingoSquare. Each round teaches Bingo a little more about who you'd like to meet — without ever showing you a feed you can't control.
